The mandate of Oversight institutions at the national and county level is primarily achieved through passage of legislation, overseeing government action, and facilitating public participation. MDG believes that through oversight, the Parliament at the National level and the county assemblies at the county level, have the responsibility of upholding citizens political rights,the basic values and principles governing public administration[1], and oversee the implementation of constitutional imperatives that give credence to devolved governance.
